Re: Fatty's excuse for today's dog shite football
Why does everyone say we lack depth. We hardly sold anyone in the summer, in fact they were all out on dress and loans.
We then bring in 9 players, almost a full squad then bump that up with 1 extra in Nene. Again no players left. And to add we are actively paying top money for these transfers. Valencia, Carroll and Jarvis weren't exactly cheap for our standards. The latter two a big mistake on Sam's part.

So we have invested, now if they are shit investments then blame the owners and manager alike. It's piss poor management, not lack of depth.

Then you get the bollocks on why Sam won't play youth, then he plays Reece Burke, then says how great the lad played. Jeez, the manager is the problem here.

Re: Fatty's excuse for today's dog shite football
If the owners give SA a squad that SA can't make excuses on then even i would start wanting him out if he went through the current form of results. As it stands deep down all of us know we are lacking depth still and i think this is why the owners will keep it safe and stick with him and why any manager worth his salt won't take the job at present as they know a lot of work needs to be done on the playing staff front.

DEAR OWNERS GIVE A WEST HAM MANAGER A 'NO EXCUSES SQUAD' JUST FOR ONCE.

Re: Fatty's excuse for today's dog shite football
If we get turned down by all the targets then there is no point sacking SA to take on someone worse than him is the mentality of G&S imo. I also think G&S are reluctant to make managerial mistakes like they did in the past and another Avram Grant would risk their millions invested in WH. But it seems that top managers turn their noses up at WH...

I do think it would be a dreadful mistake to give SA more time though. SA is a bigger risk than most give him credit for. A safe pair of hands that spends half a season with relegation form is a big risk going forward. And then 2 more years of turgid, unambitious football will sever the loyalty of many fans at the time the core support needs to expand from 35,000 to 54,000...

Re: Fatty's excuse for today's dog shite football
This club needs to decide what it wants to do. Are we going to remain a loyal, family run type of club or one which strives for success at all cost?

The chivalrous approach of letting a manager try till the end of the season is all well and good but is Sam really going to redeem himself in the next few matches? It is mostly about money as his contract ends at the end of the season and any early termination will cost.

We also need to look at players, yes there have been loyal players who love the club and are Hammers through and through, but they are not cutting it. Noble is an example of this and with a strong support player he'll do well. On his own he is very average. Nolan also offers nothing now and with Carroll out doesn't justify a place. Downing fitted well into that central attacking diamond but look what BFS has done there.

All in all, is success what we want? It's not a lack of investing in players. There are some good players in this team, granted not World Class but good enough to really give this league a smashing. What do the Davids really want?

Sold, I was in the Rangers end yesterday. Motd gave you the best 2 minutes...we were non existent going forward, just random attacks started from the back with a massive gap between the midfeild and Valencia.

Correct. Its a full scale cold war now, if he gets any more time, starting a season from zero points, he WILL relegate us.

And it won't be 'misfortune / bad luck' either. It'll be INTENTIONAL.

Just like it is now.

VERY dangerous to keep him now in my view, he is irrational and angry at being found out. Shame we didn't suss him sooner like Newcastle and Blackburn.

Allardyce is classic "Emperor's New Clothes" in his interviews.

Just wish one of the interviewers would play the role of the small child and call him out for talking absolute shit on the chances front.

I blame him for picking Downing again.
His good early season form is now a distant memory, and yesterday he looked like he simply could not be bothered for most of the game.

Allardyce looked absolutely awful in his post match bullshit interview. The speculation about his future is definitely getting to him. If we lose next week, I suggest a medic stands by.

why dont the interviewers ever ask him to comment on his managerial status at the club? They would anyone else wouldnt they?
